Ethermon collaborated with the METAZONE team on creating a series of Meta (a series of deployable collection in decentrland, which will eventually become an NFT it self.) The 1st of these meta is a “Garden Bed” took off with great interest with more than 86 of them purchased within the first two week. Based on this meta we see the building of a foundation for seeing and interacting with Ethermon in various places in Decentraland (DCL).
What is Ethermon x METAZONE trying to create in Decentraland? I would like to summarise the current vision.
What is an Ethermon Garden Bed?
Ethermon and the METAZONE team are developing with the goal of a grand world where Ethermon is loved as a pet in Decetraland where user can take care with them stroll along side with them and eventually fight foes together.
The first Meta for creating such a world is a “Garden Bed”. The “Garden Bed” is a place where Ethermon can gain DXP (Decentraland Experience Points). User can plant seeds, grow fruits, and feeding the fruit to Ethermon that appear on the LAND or user’s own Ethermon (as long as they own an Ethemon NFT). The very first support mons are “Kyari” and “Cobrus”.
When a user enters the “Ethermon Garden”, the “Kyari” or “Cobrus” that they own willautomatically appear. Initially, only the Ethermon with lower Mon_ID will appear, but soon user will be able to select any of their available Ethermon in the near future.
Although only a few Ethermon is supported, the team plan to support all current 200 Ethermon class, With 40 form-1 being supported before end of year. You can also find Ethermon on the game’s official market place https://ethermon.io/market wonder which one will join us in Decentraland next or perhaps some exclusive new Ethermon?
Mechanism to grow Ethermon in the garden bed
In the garden bed, you can grow fruits from seeds, feed it to Mon, and raise the level of their hunger gauge (which is one of the 4 gauges showing the state of a Ethermon.) When a Ethermon’s hunger bar is full, it will remain full for a certain period of time (during this time it will also gain DXP) which will raise its level. A full hunger gauge can last for 12 hours and can be extended by eating more food.
There are three other gauges, Health, Energy, and Mood. Health is only reduced when Ethermon is hurt. While Energy only depletes when user execute a command such as Dig (which may uncover surprises), or later on used in battles. Mood increases over time as long as user is in DCL, but reduces over time if user neglect it for quit some time. An Ethermon in very bad mood, may also choose to ignore your commands! Come visit them often to make sure you have a healthy and happy Ethermon.
*In order to consider new players, Ethermon in DCL uses a unique DXP system that can only be acquired through activities in DCL. The battle system at DCL is not yet implemented, but there are plans to make it a fun and refreshing experience versus the original game. There will be support of DXP in meta data, such that user can see their DCL level and DXP in secondary marketplace and in the official Ethemon.io website. The team also have plan to take the original Ethermon level and #1, #2, #3 Catch Badges into consideration for within DCL as well.
About food that raises Mon’s hunger gauge
In order to feed Mon with food and give him DXP, user starts by buying and growing various vegetable and fruit seeds at MANA. Since it takes a certain amount of time to produce food from seeds, it seems that it will be necessary to wait for a while. The effects of food have the following effects.
Carrot [Free] can be found at Ethermon Gardens. Add +50 to hunger (MAX 1000).
Beats [10MANA] adds +250 to hunger.
Cucumber [25 MANA] maximizes hunger. In addition, DXP will be increased by +1200.
Cabbage [50MANA] maximizes hunger. In addition, DXP will be added +3600.
Pumpkin [100 MANA] maximizes hunger. In addition, DXP will be added +6000 DXP.
Each food has special attributes, and purpose, and some with faster growth time (time to grow fruit before it can be harvested), more information will be published at a later date. Keeping in mind that each Ethermon will have different preference for food, so do you right? Food bonus will be introduced at a later time, along with different ways to prepare a food.
Future plans for Decetraland

increases. Owners can form a community with users and aim to upgrade as a team. The higher the level, the less cool-downs you have to grow your food, the cheaper the food will be and the more new food will emerge.
Release of Metazone
◆ “Egg Meta” will be released as the second version from the METAZONE team. By purchasing eggs, users will be able to unlock one of five new DCL-only mons we have never seen.
◆ In addition, there is a meta for learning the world to find rare mons and catch them in the wild, mon-skin (like decoration), battle gear (equipment that affects strength), battle move (skill) Will appear. We anticipate that Mons will be able to compete in the 3D stadium byDecentraland in early 2021.
About Ethermon that will appear in Descentoraland in the future
◆Introduce more than 200 types of all Ethermon to DCL. Modeling and animations can be quite expensive, so we are going to do it in small lots over time, but promising to add not only new Ethermon, but support all Ethermon to join the DCL world.
